Question on Proform 545s Treadmill?
I have a Proform 545s treadmill with a Sears style model number 831.294252 where the console appears to be working, but both the fan and motor don't run. Unit was working fine, sat idle for a few months, and then fan and motor no longer worked. As for the console working, all of the lights come on (including 1/4 mile oval) and buttons light up/beep as though everything was working. For example, when you press the "minus speed" it beeps to let you know it can't go any slower but when you press the "plus speed" it does not beep. It takes my pulse when holding the hand sensors, alternates the calorie/pulse display, etc. The 1/4 mile oval lights stay on and do not go out when I press the start button.
As for the motor circuit board, there is only one red light on the circuit board in the base and it lights up a few seconds after the power is turned on.
Based on the description above does anyone have a suggestion for recommending a repair replacement part? Unfortunately, the price of a replacement console seems to be more than the going price of a typical "lightly used" entire treadmill of same model.
