repairing an earth contact VT20 Hotpoint dryer?

i have identified the clicking noise from my dryer as being a faulty earth contact strip, it has broken/ worn away, and the clicking has stopped, there's a bolt come away also where it was attached to a rotating bolt connected to the drum. i can get the part on the internet, but how do i fix it?
