Mend UPVC Open Sound Top

Whistling from centre window?

When its windy I have noticed the centre window which doesn't open makes a whistling sound. When you press on the top piece of internal bead it stops. By plastic I mean the UPVC piece not the black internal gasket. Why is it doing this and what is the solution?

Thanks for the reply got a UPVC guy coming on thursday who has already replaced a hinge so will ask him if he can do this as well. Cheers.

replace the e gasket or wedge gasket that is on outside of window around glass,if its wedge gasket you can pry out with a flat screwdriver if it wont come out its e gasket and you will have to take your glass unit out to replace.hope this helps
