Mend Boiler Radiator Firing

intermittant firing?

hi, i just serviced my own boiler, changed nozzle, cleaned boiler house and baffles. since then though it works perfectly untill i put back on the cover of the unit in which the burner and boiler house is housed. its a metal unit with a front cover which has an air vent to allow air in. it pushes up and then slided off to allow access to the boiler house and burner. i think it must be an air intake problem. any ideas what it might be?
