Mend Upvc Door Handle

UPVC door handle ?

My front door handle on my UPVC door doesnt work properly, i cant ust upen the door, it needs to be lifted up first. By lifting it up the extra locks come out, if these are out it opens fine, if not as i say it needs to be lifted up before i can pull the handle down. otherwise it just feels spongy when i pull it down.
