fisher paykel 708 smart drive?

How can I fix my fisher/paykel 708 smart drive. Is it worth fixing? For almost 2 months my machine was leaking when I'd wash, especially at time of fill up at the beginning of the cycle. Last week I smelled something burning, now it will only turn on and attempt to load the water by pulsing the water in intermittantly and than it throws an error beep. I even advanced the cycle and tried just spinning the cycle. It wont work it just beeps with an error. Did I burn the motor or belt out? It sounds like it wants to pump the water out but doesnt.

Lid reed switch is located under right hand side of top deck about 50mm in from front corner and is activated by a magnet hidden inside the edge of the lid. Remove two plugs at front of top deck & remove the two screws under the plugs. Release plastic clips at rear of top deck & lift it up. You will see the lid switch held in place with one screw. If it is swollen, cracked or corroded in any way then replace it as these switches have caused many control modules to short out if left too long. The two wires go along the right hand channel & up into the control panel where they join up with the out of balance switch on the right hand side underneath the control module. You will need to lift the control module out to get the two wires off the out of balance switch. Make sure all wires are pushed right up into the channel securely so they do not rub on & short out against the metal body.
