How can I fix my proform treadmill?

Mine did the same thing today, just went dead while in use, I just unplugged the darn thing waited a few seconds and then turned it off while standing on the floor beside the unit. Works fine except the speed reads a little high, might be compensation due to no one walking on the belt.

A little cleaning and light lubrication and belt tightening might helps things too. Make sure you are sitting on a flat surface too.
