Mend Ferroli Optimax b Boiler Heating Fault

Ferroli Band b Optimax Combi Boiler?

This may be a completely stupid question but i am, after all a mere female!
My heating won't come on, the boiler is not displaying any fault code and appears to fire up and temperature rise and then just displays "d" whilst i slowly freeze to death!
Any ideas, i cannot find anything in the manual.
