Mend Ariston Combi Boiler Overheating Red Light

ariston combi boiler cuts out when hot?

from cold this boiler might work for an hour and then cuts out and the red light comes on. i think the light is telling me the boiler is getting to hot. after about 10 minutes i press the restart button and the heating will come on agian for 10 minutes and then go off with the red light coming on again. I have now lowered the central heating temp on the dial and it lasts longer but its still not right
