hi i have a electrolux caravan rm4271 in my motorhome the fridge is located below the sink and i had a burst water pipe. After fixing the pipe okay I tried the fridge on gas the red light is flashing but it will not ignight, tried it on 240/12v and the green light comes on for 240 but fridge will not work i.e will not cool 12 v the red light comes on but again it will not cool is it possible the water could have damaged it and if so where does anyone have any ideas please before i strip it down
If the mineral wool surrounding the boiler is wet it will stop the fridge from working. Replace it with new mineral wool. Moisture may also prevent the ignitor from sparking.

Don't know your model, but on the left hand side on the top is usually a small electronic module, have a look in there for signs of burning, I think most 12v htrs will only come on when the engine is running, the pipe at the rear top should get hot if either heater is working. Also you ought to hear the gas igniter sparking in time with the flashing and when a good flame is established the thermocouple should leave the gas on after removing pressure from the push button
