my pull cord snapped??

Yep your in a bad way ..but Dad won`t be mad I`m sure
After you have the cover off if you look in it you should see where the rope knot is ...if not there a hole in the plastic piecethat holds the rope....you will need to recoil the wheel and using vise grips ect to hold the wheel in place while you reinsert the pull rope in thru the guide and tie a knot in it and then slowly let the vide grips loose and it will recoil the rope back and put handle on and reinstall cover
