pressing the transfer and left arrow button failed?

However. Just a thought,,,, if your talking transfer using USB cable the cable may be faulty or the transfer software may need re-loading I had trouble with a Nikon coolpix, wouldn't connect changed the USB cable and just for the fun re-loaded software and it then connected.
