vauxhall corsa 1.4 breeze won't start?

I have just bought a vauxhall corsa 1.4 breeze it is a 1998 model. It has been running fine with no problems but yesterday I took it for a drive, about 11 miles when I got back I turned off the engine went inside for about 30min then I came back out started it up drove down to the shop about 2 mins turned off the engine. when i retured to the car It wouldn't start and hasn't started since. Has anyone any ideas of what is wrong with it?
