Seat Toledo Throatty sound?

Can any one advice me at all I have a Seat Toledo 1800cc 20V auto this car is surperb but have a bugging question when you rev high revs or put your foot down to over take the power is there but very throatty sound comes from engine bay like you have no air filter sort of sound anyone know if this is nromal thought maybe exhaust got leak but nothing dont do it unless you really put revs up any advice be greatfull

No its not the sports version its 1.8 20v se auto its just when going thru the gears once in top gear at speeds smooth as any thing and help be greatfull just wondered if this was normal on the toledo

Don't complain - some people pay alot of money for that 'throaty' sound! Is yours the sports version?!
