how do i reset my samsung er290?

i have a Samsung ER 290 cash register. UI was trying to change the operators code and had the key on "prog" and pressed a button, by mistake, and can`t proceed any further. On the screen it read "input over limit" and below that "E124".
Please help.

First Answer from Mark, December 2008 worked a treat, thanks.

As he said, you need the "C" key and on my machine, there is one unmarked position past PGM, expect that is MC.

Original message:

Hi.

Turn the key to MC position (only your key marked 'C' will turn to here).
Turn power off at wall.
Hold the clear button down (C)
Turn power on at wall.
It should print '.....CS' on the paper.

Remember, this will CLEAR ALL DATA AND PROGRAMMING, so only do it if you have tried everything else.

I have a second hand cash register - Samsung E-290.

Instead of CR it is saying PL when we try to reset with CLEAR button. We have turned the C key to PGM, switched off, held in Clear button and switched back on but we get
