How do i disasseble my dyson dc07 cyclone assembly?

i rinsed my dyson dc 07 cyclone numerous times, however, the last time i must have gotten water up inside the cyclone mechanism causing a horrible moldy odor. i've take the lid off of the top of the cyclone, removed the three screws inside of that area and cannot get the main purple part (cone shaped) apart from the silver bottom part. i removed the fins an purple piece with a million holes in it. please help anyone.
