how can i find where the leak from my toilet is coming from?

Before i went to bed last night i noticed a pool of water around the base of my toilet. I noticed water was dripping from the small pipe to the left of the toilet. After a few hrs it had stopped,then when i woke up this am the pool of water was there again.What should i do as i am having a new bathroom fitted at the end of nxt wk?

May well be condensation in which case do nothing
Might be a leak but it doesn't sound that serious if it stops on its own - in which case do nothing.
An old towel on the floor to collect the drips perhaps.

Are you sure the bathroom people are coming at the end of next week - Thurs/Fri 25/26 December?
