How to fix my heating in renault clio?

I have no heating in my renault clio, i have topped up the water in the radiator to the max level, but it still blows out cold air. I think it may be something to do with the thermostat but i don't know how to fix it, can anyone give me some advice as i want to do this myself as i can't afford a mechanic.
