Mend Vauxhall Vectra Heater

hearter issue?

hi i have a Yreg 1.8 lx vauxhall vectra if i drive 20miles the temp gauge reads cold but the engine is hot . if i drive 20miles it stays reading cold if i then hit traffic the gauge goes to normal 90 and heat comes out off heater untill i start moving again over 30mph ?
