Seven flashes. Diplomat 8322?

Hi, sorry to bring this question to life again but i,ve gone through everything that's been suggested. The flow meter has a reading of 0.5ohms before it starts allowing water, then increases to 110ohms. Are these readings expected? After about 5 seconds the programme switches over to rinse and just drains the system. At the underside of the filter is a white bullet type switch. Any idea what this is for, with it disconnected it's open circuit. Any help greatly appreciated.
