i have a corsa b 1.2 16v?

Bit more info needed here Alan. Does the car still drive? Does it still pull to the left? Is the speedo still dead? Currently I am guessing you may have driven your front left wheel through a large puddle, that would cause it to pull to the left (briefly) and perhaps sufficient water sprayed up into the engine bay to flood some electrics that might short out the sensor for the speedo (I'm assuming its electronic not mechanical). There's a lot of guesswork here, try again with as much info as possible.
