my astra wipers playing up?

i have a mk 4 astra wipers stop anywhere on wind screen,if you put them on one wash the wipers will o half way up then stop,if you have them on constant they are fine but if you turn them off half way across the windscreen they will stop!!!!!!i have changed the arm inside the car 3 times but still the same...can anyone shed some light on this problem....??

Common fault. Wipers not parking on intermittent wipe. You need new wiper motor. Easiest way is to change the wiper motor & wiper mechanism. You should be able to by them together from a car breakers for around £45 or less. Easy diy fix.
