Mend Cannon 10183G Gas Lights

What is causing this ?

I have a Cannon Gas Cooker (10183G) which lights it's Oven first time but does not (alway) increase the flame to suit the Gas Mark level

Sounds like the flame failure valve is on its way out.Check that the flame in the oven is warming a rod that bridges the burner and that the flame you have got is a nice blue flame.If it is then i suspect the FFD is about to pack in.
