key fob renault clio?

yep, my key fob stopped working because the microchip had broken and come apart but the bottom bit was still soldered to the board so one of the 4 contacts must have broke off, i stupidly flicked a bit of broken plastic out of my key and that was the part i needed to fix it, luckily I have a spare key which I was told was broken when i bought the car (renault clio) after closer inspection the microswitch had come loose but was fully intact so I just need to solder this back on and hey presto..should work!!I read a link that an ex renault dealer wrote saying that a TV repair man could possibly solder the part back on for you, I bet they'd even have spare switches if your switch has fallen out..hope this helps

Ian t, i think i have the problem you have mentioned.
I've opened the key fob & a tiny small square which i assume is the micro switch has come off the soldered joints.

Is it just a case of getting someone to solder the switch back on?

if you open your key make sure the micro switch has'nt
come loose,(off the soldered joints). this will not make the connection

have renault clio replaced batteries in fob but still dont work the led dosent even work can u help

(opption 1)
i had same prob went shopping pressed blip (all locked) ,came back pressed blip (key fob lit up but no unlock) got a guy to come to car to download the clios bypass code,did that (fifty knicka!)
then you enter the code via w/wiper stalk end cap button,gas ped and/or central locking button in between front seats

(opption 2)
sit in car shut all doors
press and hold cent locking button
(doors lock)(by hand brake)
untill doors unlock & lock again (four clunks)
point fob towards bulk head press blip twice quick(think you have about 10 secs) if your lucky this may rezinc key to car
(not me new key 120 from dealer)
