I'm tring to fit in a capacitor into my tumble dryer, but don't know where to find the motor, I've attempted dismantling the back of the tumble dryer, but could only get as far as the fan and couldnt get this away, do I need to do this or can I gain access via the front and how do I do this??
remove the bolt from the centre of the fan on the back and then prize the fan off the motor shaft with 2 screwdrivers.sometimes the fans do break.you have been warned.ps lever equally on each side or the motor shafts can bend and they then make a hell of a noise.once fan remove 4 screws behind fan and then rear panel can be removed.water duct has to be unclipped .drive belt released and then drum removed.you will then see capacitor bottom left.these are a pain to do with no easy access.we all hate them!.good luck
