I had a similar problem with my new ravenheat boiler, installed Nov '08. The live wire to the fan was slightly loose, vibration of the fan causing it to lose contact and cut out continually. A couple of minutes with a soldering iron and some solder wire soon sorted it out, running like a good 'un now.
