How to start my C/H boiler ?

I have a Potterton Profile 50E C/H boiler, but do not have a User Guide.

So I don't know how to go about lighting the Pilot Etc.

Can you please help?

you don't need to light the pilot it is controlled by the electronics inside the boiler
just turn the control knob to about number 3
i find this about right for my needs but you may change it to suit your requirements
when the boiler is working you can see what is happening by looking through the small window on the front of the case
