immobiliser fault ?

im havin problems with my renault clio 2000, the immobilser light keeps on flashing and the car wont start up, ive changed the key battery, that isnt helpin, what could it be, ive spoke to a friend, he goes its an electrical fault nd the garage it got service frm sed its a common fault.

HI there you need to buy a new key , and then it should start ,then you will need to have it programmed to the vehicle, for the central locking to work.
