Mend Citroen C5 Failed Mot Changed

Our 2002 C5 (petrol) has failed the MOT because of high emissions?

Our 2002 C5 (petrol) has failed the MOT because of high emissions, our garage have changed lambda sensors checked EGR for carbonm but still emissions do not come down, they don' know what to try next. We do not really want to go to Citroen main dealer as they will charge a fortune, any ideas.

it would appear yor garage do not know what they are doing.get it checked at citreon ,an estimate for work required ,then get yor garage to do the work
