vauxhall cavalier 1.8 abs fault?

the abs comes on (sometimes) when braking at low/slow speeds, i.e when it should not operate it does! the warning light never comes on but it does work as it illuminates when the the ignition is switched on then goes off as it should. the discs and pads have been replaced recently and the problem remains....help!!!

some rings can be replaced but as you need to dismantle the shaft/suspension you may as well replace the joint
