advent 4211c cam problem?

how can i get my cam to work or is there a switch to turn it on?

I pressed fn and f6 but only the little picture came up at the bottem!!!!

sounds obvious but have you pressed FN + F6. When you do that does the webcam icon appear on your screen ?
