Ive taken out a wooden sash window and repaired it .
It looks good . There was no obvious method by which it was held in except for two nails or screws at the top left and right box . What holds them in ? Just wedges or foam ? Or glue ?
Thanks
box sash type windows the sash should be held in with sash cord that goes through pullies located both sides
of the box frames connected to steel weights at the bottom you then put parting beads in the grove located on inside of frame close to the sash and the internal sash has staff beads on the inside of the frame
this allows sashes to slide up and down and hold them in place malc
