Vauxhall zafira problem when braking sounds like a spring twanging ?

Just had same thing happen, and at minus 5 deg it is not the best time for the abs to pack up. After 20 miles i tried turning engine off ond on again and it went out. Hopefully a glitch because I cannot afford to take it to a rip off garage.

hi, i have a 53 plate astravan and at stop i have the spring noise and you can feel it under braking in the pedal but only at stopping.the rest of the time it is fine.i dont have any problem with the light but who knows maybe the bulb doesnt work.my local garage has put a computer on it but do not get any odd readings from the brakes.so far i have had new discs and pads front and a new bearing in the rear(which probably didnt need doing?£300) i have gone to another garage now and they have said to check out the weights on the drive shaft which we are in the process of doing

hi mark, ive got same problem with my zafira.when i first start up the abs light stays on,then turn ignition off then back on again the light goes out.ive had the sensors checked but there ok. you had any joy
