Renault 1.5 dci steering lock probs please help me?
car was working fine this morning. parked up locked the car came back and hit the start button. message flashed up saying that steering was locked. followed manual and it said to wiggle it whilst hitting the start button. did that and that freed the lock. however it will now not start as it still says steering locked when hitting start. and it isn't! please help me. all the electrics in the car are working and i have even unplugged the battery and connected it.
HI there if the vehicle is a renault megane 2 ora scenic 2 then you will need to have it diagnosed,due to the fact it might be the steering lock that is faulty, and they are not cheap, they are around £260 ,plus fitting and once it is fitted to the vehicle ,and the ignition is turned on then it is programed to the vehicle ,and you can not use it on any other vehicle,this is why you need to have it diagnosed.
