beeping and motor lock on sharps er3110 cash register?

This is correct. The way to clear a motor lock is to turn off,on then press CLEAR. Since the machine starts beeping again as soon as you do this, it means it is still detecting a jam in the printer. Check for a paper jam, or something stuck down in the printer such as a coin that is stopping the print head from moving. The only other thing I've had is a broken gear which is common now in these machines due to their age. You might have to take it in for service, but there may be no parts available now as they are around 20 years old.
