Veritas alarm reset code (model unknown)?

Sorry not really an answer but if anyone could help as this is the same situation.

I have the same alarm as Fred and no code, accidently pressed a button yesterday, the alarm sounded tried turning off electric at the mains.. NO JOY kept going!

Phoned a security installer got factory setting codes and after 15 mins it went silent. The reset light is permentantly on and the tamper light is flashing.

Am I at the stage off having to call out an engineer!! :(

Enter Existing Code
Press Prog
Press 60
Enter New Code
Press Prog
Press Reset
This SHOULD work for veritas 8. Found this info in www.texe.com/document.php?docid=142... Full user guide there everyone. Good Luck

If you do as d.l.d alarms suggest, you will also lose all the settings - such as entry/exit zone, Part set Zones, timers etc which will need to be setup again.

hi to reset remove cover alarm will sound kill mains power remove battery if fitted the reconnect and press resett on keypat code will be 4321

You have the Veritas 8Compact

In order to change an unknown code you need to get an Engineer in who can enter the Engineering code in order to reset your system and then set the user code for you

I also have the same problem. We have been putting in the code left by previous owners and the alarm beeps continually but does not go off if you cross a sensor, leading me to believe its not actually set. The tamper light is permanently lit red, i take it this means it is not set properly?

Can anyone provide any information as to how to reset the alarm without the correct code and enter your own code?
