My 2001 Renault Scenic Diesel 1.9 DCI after a run sometimes will not start although the engine turns over ok. If left for some time (varies) it will then start.
Once it actually conked out but started after about half an hour. I have taken it to 2 garages but they say they cannot find the problem until it occurs which is not the answer i wanted. The car runs fine although a little shakey in the mornings from cold. Anyone else had the same problem?? Any solutions ????
common fault is a injector leak back fault which allows the fuel to return to the tank instead of being held at the injector resulting in low pressure and poor starting a decent garage should be able to do a leak off test to identify the fault, the only remedy is a replacement or rebuilt injector but not usually too expensive
