You just need to replace your Element and Thermostat(s). It's a fifteen-minute job.

At the rear of your tumble-drier you'll see you have a (rectangular) frame containing your heating element.
It's only a couple a screws to remove it. The connecting wires are usually slide-on/slide-off spade-terminals. Just make sure you note where the wires connect, so you'll know where they go when your new replacement element arrives. The new element comes complete in it's own frame, so you just need to connect the wires back up and screw it in place.

You'll have to replace your Thermostat(s) at the same time, otherwise you could blow the new element. It's quite likely that you have a failed thermostat which caused your old element to burn-out.

My tumble drier has TWO thermostats - one for the HIGH heat setting, one for LOW heat. You'll see yours when you take your element-frame off. They look like large button-batteries with a couple of 'fins' for mounting. Again, make sure you note which one goes where and how they're connected.

IMPORTANT: Your element supplier needs to provide correctly-rated thermostats for the element you buy.
When you give them your Make & Model No. they should know exacly what you have - even though you probably won't be able to read the numbers on the old ones.

sounds like heater elmement as gone you can find out by pressing the thermal rest at the back of the dryer if heater comes on . if it comes on then off again dont keep restinng as this as the potenial to start a fire .
if it goes cold again it could either be the element is burned out or the thermal rest button is knackerd (not all models have the rest feture)
