How can I fix my Indesit IS70C?

The water full button is lit permanently despite emptying the water reservoir. How can I fix it?

My tumble drier appears to be operating ok but is not heating. Took out condensing unit which have not been cleaned for a while. Will this cause the pump to clog up or will it be the thermostat at the back

My dryer wasn't drying properly - was almost ready to call out an engineer but followed the advice on here (removing side panel and pump housing). Bottom tank was full of stagnant water and fluff and float was clogged stopping it floating - cleaned everything down and hey presto machine working perfectly again. Big thanks to all for the advice - will recommend this site.

Trying to dismantle my tumble dryer but cant seem to get the lid off! Have undone the screws at the back and two at the front inside the water container area. I need to reset the thermostat or replace the heating element (I have a spare). Can you help please?

I had the same problem and my expertise is close to zero. I saw two screws at the top at the back. When I took these out it looked like there would be two more hidden ones at the front. I was wrong - all it took was a slight push and the lid slid forward and off - easy.

I could see quite a lot of fluff around the various switches and I dusted that off. Then I decided it might be worth plugging it back in again to see if that minor amount of work had made any difference - and it had. My wife thinks I'm wonderful. For today at least.

cheers colin..just saved me a small fortune..but mine was the pump just a little clogged with fluff...to add to colins, you have to remove the top lid (two screws at the back and slide the whole top piece towards the back to release) then take the side of by the water collector (one screw on the top, about four or five on the back and then slide the whole thing directly backwards to release) then look into the side at the bottom, you will see where the two plastic clips which hold the pump mechanism on the back of the dryer, push these in with a screwdriver and simultaneously pull back on the plastic box at the back of the washer and with a harsh pull it will come off. Then I cleaned round the pump part and dipped it in clean water until it was pumping water into the tray again. The lower tray was full of fluff which had clogged the entrance for the pump, but colins answer above would have the same effect so check that the polystrene level is moving easily.

I posted this question and have just had the problem fixed. In the back of the machine where the electrics are for the pump there is a metal "float", which tells the pump to pump the water out and into the reservoir. This "float" became stuck in the up position and once moved the red light on the empty water display has now gone out. Machine is now fully working and back to normal.
Just thought I'd share my findings with you all.
Cheers

I had the same problem and it is probably the water pump that's failed. Pump housing located at bottom right at back of the machine. Switch off power and remove side panel to gain access to retaining clips..fiddly to remove the pump housing but it will come out. Swap new pump over and that should cure the problem.

Same question:
My IS70C developed the same fault over the weekend. Have checked and cleaned all filters and the water tray is fully empty. Is there a sensor fault or does a thermostat need replacing? Any advice much appreciated.
