Problems with 1995 Renault Laguna 2.0 RT?

1) I have had my camdrive belt replaced. I can now hear a constant metal tapping which gets quicker the faster I go. Sometimes the tapping sounds like a screetch. Could this be the fan belt now or could I have a more serious problem?

2) My hot/cold air blower is playing up. When I turn the heat controls, the blower does not always blow. Could it be a loose connection or do I need a new resistor?

3) For some reason the central locking no longer works in my boot. The lock has not been tampered with, but I cannot lock it manually either. Any ideas?

If you have any answers for the above questions it would be appreciated.

got the same problem with mine, on investigation it turns out the lock assembly in the boot encompasses a small plastic worm drive (threaded bar) and after a few years of use they wear, thus not locking the car and preventing its use

HI there mate i would say that when you have had the cam belt fitted, the gard that goes around it to stop any s**t getting on the belt has not been put on right and catching hence faster you go the faster the belt spins, as for heater sound like a lose wire or connection some were, and central locking my dose the same, still to this day have not found out why hope this helps mate,
