I have an old brass tap to which I need to fix copper tube. Tap is at ground level pointing upwards, and appears to be connected to lead piping underground which I am reluctant to dig up...
I would like a bit more info about this before I can offer any help, but I can tell you this, under the Water regulations (Water Fittings) Act 1999, no tap can now be fitted to any lead supply pipe. So you may have to reconsider. Please keep posted.
