REMOVAL AND REPAIR OF CD PLAYER IN NISSAN PRIMERA SE. 54 REG. ?

HOW CAN I REMOVE THE CD PLAYER IE DO I HAVE TO REMOVE THE FACIA AND IF SO HOW.THE PLAYER IS REFUSING TO EJECT THE CD. CAN IT BE REPAIRED IF SO HOW ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED

I had the same problem with an 03 plate primera (cd stuck in player). Had to take middle of dash off (think you need to take off gear stick cover etc first) - its a bit fiddly. Then you can try and see what's wrong with the player. In my case the gearing had gone in the player so its new head unit time :( Off to search scrappies / ebay now.
Once you get the dash off, its pretty easy to disconnect the actual player from the fancy built-in button pad. Good luck...
