Is it an eco washer? If it is then it sounds like a pump fault. The eco washer runs for about 3 minutes with the drain pump recirculating the water back into the bowl before stopping the pump & filling to the normal level. The power supply goes through the drain pump back to the control module. If the pump overheats the thermal cutout in the pump will activate & stop the pump but will also shut off power to the panel until it cools down. When the power goes off try touching the pump to see if it is very hot, if so replace the pump.
