My Technika 21" tv with built in freeview will not turn on?

I have a Technika and the remote or the manual buttons will switch from red light to blue, abling me to watch Tv

i have a technika 42 inch with freeview built in iv had it for 5 years . the problem im having is that it wont switch on from standby the light goes of for 3 sec and comes back on i used me heater to worm the tv up for a 1 min and that fixed for now

I have a 42" 3D technika with sound issues I have had within weeks of purchase. It is now 9 months old and I have to constantly reinstall to fix. Because of Tesco's pathetic attitude I have now started a small claims action against them for the cost of the substandard tv and my time and the cost of constant phone calls to Tesco and tech support. I'll let you know how I get on.

I have a technika 42" and has been fantastic until recently. I power on and it goes to standby blue. when I then push the button to power up the blue like just flashes. After 1 to 2 hours the TV works. Like its a warming up . TVs are meant to last longer than 3 years in fact LCD should do 10 years where as plasma is 5 to 8 years regardless of there manufactuer. Tesco should have a repair team. It would be ashame to have to scrap a 42" inch TV that's 3 years old surely it wouldn't cost more than £50 to £80 to repair? The TV cost £399

Open up the tv. Check all capacitors, this can be done by eye & there are loads of instructional videos on net. I have cracked open a few LCD & & plasmas now & all have been a case of replacing a couple of 50p caps. Don't be daunted its easy

My tesco 21" technika tv dvd player - the dvd player wont now recognise the disk, after only 14 months old, tesco wont repair or replace. can I fix the dvd player? I bought a dvd cleaning disc but the player wont play it to clean the lense

My remote control wont turn television on/off always on standby. Tescos were so unhelpful, just kept going around in circles with same answers. Out of warrenty and would have gladly paid for repair, but as soon as you say out of warrenty they DONT WONT TO KNOW! Going to buy a new television and it wont be at Tescos!!!

Just quote the sales of goods act, I'm pretty sure it states all electronics must have a two year guarantee.

I have the same issue with my 40" and you guessed, warranty out last week -_-

I have a 40inch Technika lcd tv and ive got the same prob,my garantee ran out yesterday,ive not phoned tesco yet as its 11pm on a sunday night,i will phone tommorrow and post back to let people know how i got on.

Hi I have the same TV but 15" with exactly the same problem and guess what ,it is also 13 months old, just out of warrantly and tesco wont do a thing. I am going to trading standards, especially now I know it seems to be a common fault, so I suggest you both do the same.

I think you have problem with the PSU.

Something gone in it. Chek the serial and have to find it on the EBAY

Take it back to Tesco for a refund. Technika is a Tesco Own Brand so you must have bought it from them.
