My vaillant 824e only either gives hot water or central heating?
My vaillant 824e combi boiler only gives hot water or central heating. If I am wanting hot water I have to switch the boiler off to get it if the heating has been on, additionally the radiators become hot downstairs even when the heating is supposedly off !!. I have been advised it could be the diaphragm. Any Ideas ?
common fault with vaillant just get the divertor valve replaced. and enjoy the hot water when you need it without having to switch off your boiler. totally agree with other guys

steve it certainly is the diaghfram in the diverter valve the only cure is to replace the diaghfram or the complete valve assembly.im afraid that it is a very common fault on most combi type boilers and it can be a difficult and expensive job costing around 185 pounds for a proffesional fix.
