O joy!!!! My dishwasher has come back to life! I did check the float switch, but that was fine. I went on loads of internet sites and decided to do what a lot of people advised. I tipped it on it's side, I rolled it right over and took the base off. I checked all the hoses and filters. I even left it upside down for a few days. But even after all that it still didn't work. Couldn't afford a new so left it and switched it all off. Then four weeks later, my wife decided to turn it on . . . IT WORKED, and it's been working ever since. I reckon some moisture got in somewhere and shorted something out. It appears that it has dried out and "touch wood" everything is A OK!. Anyone out there with the same problem - don't dump the dishwasher until you are sure it won't work again. Leave it awhile and try again. Many thanks for you replies
