why does my vauxhall vectra diesel mifire?

why does my vauxhall vectra misfire and lose power between 50 and 60 mph it doesnt cut out and ticks over fine but whenever i get to 50 it starts to play up.the car is an s reg vauxhall vectra 2.0 litre turbo diesel it has never done anything like this before and started doing it after i filled up with diesel 2 days ago.

if it wont rev freely in all gears but will when standing or in neutral its most likely to be the air flow metre.
