I have replaced the brushes in many of these showers. I am sick and tired by these companies selling them at such high prices. I now purchase standard brushes from eBay or spares supplies in town. These only cost me £1.00 + 50p postage. I place the brush on some fine emry board and rub it down untill it fits the brass holder.
Once it fits the holder I replace the spring and place it in the holder. Once secured in the holder I cut the brush so that a max of 1cm is exposed outside of the holder. I use my mini dremmel to shape the end of the brushto match that of the motor
I reassemble and spin the motor with my fingers. If it spins freely I place the motor back in the shower and reconnect. If it sticks I remove the brushes and shape again.
This takes about 15 minutes and saves you about 14 pounds.
Please try it, the job is so easy to complete. I am thinking of making a small video showing you how easy it is.
