Tish, Most likely this is just dirty button contacts. You would need to be a bit handy to take the phone and circuit board out. But if you can do that part, basically it's just a matter of cleaning the underside of the button contact and the circuit board that the button touches with alcohol and a q-tip.

From there you will see a short list and select the message which contains all of these words. That's my message and it will go over the detail. I got the fix from someone else and then added a bit more to the answer to help people who are not professional repair people. It save me $80 and took only minutes.
