Mend Renault Laguna 1.9dci Loss Power Driving

loss of power?

i have a renault laguna 1.9dci, when im driving twp lights come on the dash one is like a box with zig zags in it. the other a coil, both these lights are orange. when these lights come on the car loses power instantly and will only go out when i switch the car off.

I had the same problem, its the SAFE mode, a failsafe system designed to get you home in the event of a problem with the engine. With mine it was the AIR MASS/FLOW meter (a common problem i was told) that was faulty.
